Terms and Disclaimer

AviationWiser is provided for educational practice only. Nothing on this site is approved for in-flight navigation, flight planning or operational decision making.

Not for operational use. Do not use any tool, chart, procedure, weather display or calculation on this site to plan, conduct or make decisions about a real flight. Charts, procedures and data shown here are training copies and may not be current.

AviationWiser (aviationwiser.com) is operated by WiserWorks LLC. By using the site you accept these terms.

Educational use only

The tools and trainers demonstrate concepts with simplified models and stated assumptions. For real operations use the applicable regulations, current FAA publications and charts, your aircraft's approved flight manual and certified equipment, and the instruction of a qualified flight instructor.

Not affiliated with the FAA

AviationWiser and WiserWorks LLC are not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), NOAA and its National Weather Service, or any other government authority. References to FAA handbooks, the Aeronautical Information Manual, orders, advisory circulars, regulations and other publications identify the sources the material is built on; they do not imply endorsement by the FAA or any other authority.

Accuracy and limitations

Reasonable care is taken to validate every calculation against its source, and tools are published only after testing. Even so, simplifications, assumptions and errors are possible; each tool states its limitations. The site is provided as it is, without any warranty, and WiserWorks LLC accepts no liability for decisions made on the basis of the material presented here.
